2023 - Current

THE PROBLEM: Recipe books are old, not updated, sticky/gross, hard to find, or non-existent. General recipe inconsistency. Language barriers.
THE GOAL: To create a B2B training app specifically for the restaurant,
bakery, café, and bar industries, to break accessibility barriers and to support the needs of line cooks, chefs, bakers, bartenders, new hires, etc., during their busy shifts, and a B2C app for every day people wanting to be a chef in their own homes.
ROLES: Concept, Visual Design, UX Design, Research, Information Architecture, UX Research
USER FEEDBACK:
"I can't imagine anything being easier to use."
"I would definitely use this app for sure."
"Easy to complete the task because everything is pretty self explanatory."
"Accessibility makes this an experience that works for everyone."

Impact: Users believe the app would be beneficial to those food and drink industries and could even be used in the home.
What I Learned:
That app design or UX design in general is never complete and is an ongoing evolving process. What surprised me was my lack of patience. I was so eager to continue the project that waiting on participant responses to emails made me a bit antsy--especially because their feedback was the most important part of the process. I can't design with the user in mind without their input. But next time, I'll know what to expect and can plan accordingly.
